Royal Therapy material responds to your body weight and heat. When not in contact with your body, the material returns to its usual shape (which it’s designed to do so it feels like new every time you sleep on it), so it can feel slightly firmer when you first lay down. After some time on the mattress, the material begins to react to your body heat and feels more conforming and responsive. Because the material responds to temperature, if your room is extremely cold, the mattress may feel less responsive and slightly firmer; if your room is extremely hot, the mattress may feel more responsive and softer. No matter how firm or soft the mattress feels, it still offers the support that your body needs to fully relax during sleep.

After being manufactured, Royal Therapy material may have a slight odor. This is a normal and harmless odor that usually goes away before the product reaches you.  It can be beneficial to "air out" your mattress for a couple of days, leaving the sheets off when not sleeping on it.

It is perfectly normal for the material to break in where you sleep and start to soften and condition in those areas. That is a very normal and desirable feature of the material. Some people expect memory foam to behave similarly to a traditional spring mattress, but this is not the case. While you sleep, our material will align your spine and provide support to your body as it cradles you.
